AN400 Powder is designed to effectively contain, clean, and neutralize battery acid spills. Containing common earth materials, AN400 is safe and inexpensive. When applied to a spill or leak, the AN400 Powder absorbs and neutralizes quickly without bubbling, hardening, or foaming.

AN400 Powder is a white, all natural granule powder and absorbs up to 900cc per pound and neutralizes 190cc per pound.  AN400 Powder is available in the following sizes.

How to Clean an Acid Spill

Cleaning an acid spill with AN400 Powder is easy and safe. We recommend following these guidelines.

  1. Pour a liberal amount of AN400 around the spill top. Form a dike or a dam, this will contain the spill.
  2. After the spill is contained, pour AN400 on the acid, from the outside in until the liquid is entirely covered.
  3. Allow AN400 several minutes making sure all acid is absorbed.
  4. Test material for proper Ph. Add more AN400 if necessary.
  5. Use a scoop or dustpan to clean absorbed material from the surface.
  6. Dispose of waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

*When neutralizing and cleaning any acid spill, proper personal protection must be worn.
